Look, there is a long list of things of dos & donts it can get confusing.
Too much too soon can put you off from making sustainable new habits
Start small and expand your knowledge as you go along .
🍲 REDUCE PORTIONS Before you get caught up in calorie counting and macro tracking, there is a simple way to kick start your weight loss. Eat a balanced diet including ALL food groups Protein, fats & carbs, just reduce your portions. One bread bun instead of two, half a chicken breast, seriously start small before making a huge change. No Restrictions just control
💦 WATER- You'd be surprised just how effective making this small change is
Keeps your body hydrated, fills you up (sometimes when suffering from hunger pangs, you may actually be just thirsty. Start with 6-8 glasses of water everyday and make it in to a habit
🚶MOVE - Take a short walk after dinner/lunch, get up from your desk, have a walk round the office, take the stairs, get off the bus at the bus stop before your usual.
These are all small, applicable changes that can add up to a big difference in no time, encourage you to get more active
🚴 TRY SOMETHING NEW- If you feel you are stuck in an exercise rut, try something new. Join a challenge, a HIIT or Tabata class, Martial Arts, Pump, aerobics, swim, boxercise, spinning, yoga, stretch class, really there is such an array of sports & activities you can uptake- Give it a try 😚
☕️ TRY TO REDUCE OR ELIMINATE SUGAR IN YOUR CUPPA - I am not making a case for eliminating sugar from your diet AT ALL. BUT, if like me you drink a few cups of tea & coffee, i found beneficial taking my coffee without sugar.
Cravings reduce, protect the heart arteries, saves a ton of calories too. Try it, it was a hard habit to break, but i found it ever so useful on my own weight loss journey
